hearst castle, part one / chapter twenty-three

... a bit overcast that day, but it just adds to the mystique of hearst castle. i wonder what it must had been like to be a guest of mr. hearst at the castle. definitely takes the definition of "a weekend away" to another level. remember i said last week the hearst castle itself is worth its own post? turns out, it's worth more than one! wait till you see the indoor pool next week. have a wonderful weekend everyone!

ps. have you seen the sam maloof exhibition at the huntington library yet? here are a few snapshots i took for my post on FLOR this week!

  2. We drove on Route 1 from Monterey to San Luis Obispo once and passed by Hearst Castle, but didn't stop because we were running late. And look what we missed!

    Next time, next time.

  8. Hi Peggy, found your blog and your photography site by accident and must say this is a really nice surprise! I am the type that always uses lots of lights and shadow on my photographs to create interests but you've managed to do such a good job with the lines and shapes on a cloudy day. I'm especially surprised with the shot of the tennis courts, that's something I would not see but it works so well. Looking forward to seeing more great things from you :)
