lane crawford...

"i think anyone who follows their own instincts is always truly unique in the end." - maggie cheung

... i've always loved how the name lane crawford sounds. if you are not familiar with this specialty store, it's very much like asia's version of barneys new york. i have such fond memories of shopping there while growing up in hong kong. and ironically, it was at lane crawford where i met maggie cheung, now the actress, when i was eight. she is as beautiful now as i remember her back then (have you seen in the mood for love?) and if you do plan on visiting hong kong, be sure to stop by lane crawford's concept store at the ifc mall in central, you will not be disappointed.

  2. Maggie Cheung has always been my favorite! She really stands apart from the crowd of other Asian actresses. I remember reading a New York Times article called something like "Why isn't Maggie Cheung a Superstar?"

  3. I love the quote, Peggy. So much so that I may add it to my list of favorites.

  4. "I think anyone who follows their own instincts is always truly unique in the end." - Maggie Cheung. Well, her instincts did lead her to what she is now! When she was working at Lane Crawford as sales, I remember her helping you to try on a pair of shoes on your little feet. I also recall saying to her, "You're so beautiful, you'll be a movie star...."
