this gourmet marketplace and café in west hollywood always reminded me of dean & deluca in soho, new york. but since their expansion in september 2007, joan's on third has become less of a dean & deluca and more of a "home" to me. i get the ahhhh feeling every time i step inside. i was there for brunch over the weekend and as i was sitting outside, sipping my latte, i took out my camera and started snapping pictures. next thing i know, i was chatting with the owner herself - joan mcnamara! joan was so kind to let me take pictures inside of the store for my blog. there are so many things i love about this place but it's really the details that captured my heart: from wonderfully curated props to handwritten menu boards... from delicate light fixtures to whimsical cow figurines (in the most unexpected places too!) a big thank you to joan and her most courteous staff for a delicious + inspirational saturday afternoon!
